Hands, Ears and Eyes. Humanism in Graphic Design in the 1950s and 1960s

In autumn 2020, I gave an online talk on humanism in graphic design in the 1950s and 1960s focusing on Wojciech Zamecznik for a symposium organised by FHNW Academy of Art and Design to celebrate the life and work of Armin Hofmann called The Era Hofmann. Tendencies in Graphic Design: 1950s – 1980s. Hofmann passed a few months later and so all credit to the Academy for organising such an interesting event with great speakers. If you want to watch the talk it appears in the symposium video. I appear c. 45 mins in. Link here. Special thanks to the Archeology of Photography Foundation in Poland which aided my research.
